“Photography has been my enduring passion since the age of eleven when I was given my first box brownie camera. The thrill and excitement of seeing the results of my picture-taking was overwhelming, and drove me to constantly seek perfection in a photograph – combining the vital elements of lighting, angle of view, composition and visual expression. Since then, never has a week gone by without photos coming and going from the photo lab and, as a working professional, I still feel that same excitement.

My main pleasure and driving force in life is creating beautiful images. Seeing my clients excited responses to the images I create for them is extremely satisfying. To capture those great images, a special bond has to be formed with the subject, or the group, so they are able to feel confident, relaxed and able to give their best. I find this aspect challenging and very fulfilling.

Photographing weddings is a huge responsibility. As a photographer I only get one chance to shoot a record of the day - with photographs that will last a bridal couple their entire lifetime. I take this responsibility very seriously. I have always given my absolute best for every wedding I have photographed, with no compromises and I guarantee that for every couple I work with.

To achieve the optimum result, four components are vital - a well chosen location, reasonable weather conditions, co-operation from the subjects and enough time to carry out the assignment. Despite careful pre-planning with the wedding couple sometimes one or several of these ingredients are missing on the day, and it is then the skill and professionalism of the photographer that must come to the fore. Over the last nine years I have learnt these skills through photographing all types of weddings in lots of different situations. I have learned to work quickly, be decisive in deciding which shots work best, organizing subjects into the most flattering poses, keeping subjects interested and happy, and then creating stunning images that will stand the test of time.
